The Setting Sun sits in an emulable location with views overlooking Brighton and The English Channel. Prior to the refurbishment the pub was is poor condition and lacked character, the original bar servery location resulted in pinch points to effectively the whole of the trade area. Design I.D were employed by Star Pubs & Bars to transform the premises and address the problem of unusable bar and seating areas. The decor is quirky as expected in Brighton and incorporates feature walls and carefully selected bric a brac and artwork. Even the toilets have not escaped the unusual design with beer keg urinals and Edison lamp light fittings. The small external area to the rear with spectacular views has been upgraded to include a pergola structure and is linked to the main trade area by utilising large french doors which can be left open in the warmer months to maximise covers. A sympathetic signage scheme completes the overall refurbishment and the pub is reporting a huge increase in trade since its recent opening.
